Spicy seafood

Recipe  Spicy  seafood   is a type of preparation of some dishes, which is very popular in Peru and which varies the ingredients used, depending on the region to which it belongs. Some spicy can be prepared using beef, pork, fish, cereals, seafood, vegetables, potatoes, shellfish, etc. But the main feature of any spicy as the name implies, is the use of spices and peppers lot, and that in Peru we have a large quantity, variety and quality.


  • 150 (5.30 oz) grams of cooked octopus into thin sheets
  • 150 (5.30) grams of scallops without coral
  • 150 (5.30 oz) grams of squid into thin rings
  • 150 grams of shrimp tails
  • 4 cooked prawns
  • ½ cup oil
  • ½ cup tomato sauce
  • ½ cup minced yellow pepper
  • ½ teaspoon ground red pepper sauce
  • ½ tablespoon minced garlic
  • ½ cup chopped onion into cubes
  • ½ cup cooked peas
  • 1 roasted pepper cut into strips
  • 4 Yellow cooked potatoes
  • 1 cup white wine
  • ½ cup brown beer
  • salt and pepper to taste


In a pot (if better mud) with hot oil over medium heat, prepare a dressing with half cup of chopped onion, half tablespoon minced garlic, salt and pepper. Then add half a cup of crushed yellow pepper, half teaspoon ground red pepper sauce and cook for about two minutes, stirring with a spoon to prevent sticking to the bottom of the pot.

Add to mixture, half cup of tomato sauce, cooked octopus into thin slices, half cup of cooked peas and cook for about 10 minutes.

Then include the squid cut into rings and stir. After a few minutes add the scallops and cook two more minutes. Incorporate shrimp tails and mix. After a minute pour the cup of white wine, half a cup of lager and pepper. After five minutes remove from heat.

Serve on a plate, first placing a yellow potatoes cut in half and place over spicy seafood. Garnish with shrimp and sprinkle cilantro, chopped parsley or huacatay.
