What to eat?
Peruvian cuisine of this region, undoubtedly the most famous dish of Junin is the » Andean Potatoes ,» which is no longer part of the region and has spread throughout the country . However , there are other dishes that by its original seasoning and different ingredients, are typical.One of the most nationally recognized dishes is the famous Andean Potatoes , which is among the most outstanding dishes of Peru.

Papa a la Huancaína: It is a typical and historical dish of Peruvian Creole cuisine, consisting of boiled potatoes, washed with red pepper sauce, milk, oil and cheese. In its classic presentation it is accompanied by boiled eggs, black olives and lettuce leaves.
Cuy chactado: Cuy fried breaded with toasted white corn , served with boiled potatoes and chili huacatay.
