Carnival Chachapoyas (Carnaval de Chachapoyas)

Carnival a mixture of celedinas and chachapoyanas customs. It is celebrated with «Humishas» planting, i.e. big trees decorated with balloons, streamers, garments and other objects. Also, a parade float contest is held, where Carnival Queens are elected, social and popular dances are held, as well as games with water, streamers and colours.
